Testimonials

Maggie’s enthusiasm and teaching style were great for the members of our guild who participated in her class. We had all levels of students and Maggie worked with everyone in an easy and knowledgeable style. Everyone experienced success in her class and had a great time! Her lecture was informative and enjoyable and the array of quilts she brought to share with us was wonderful. I highly recommend Maggie as a lecturer and instructor!

I had the pleasure of serving as Vice President, Programs for Tidewater Quilters Guild in Virginia Beach, VA when Maggie Ball visited our group.  Maggie presented two lectures/programs and taught a two-day workshop.  Her presentations were informative and included many unique and innovative quilts to enjoy. Our members were deeply inspired by Maggie’s programs, and truly appreciated learning about the amazing outreach work Maggie has done with women in Mongolia.
The author of several quilting books and a gifted teacher, Maggie had much to offer our guild members that participated in her workshop. Her ideas were presented clearly and her techniques were precise. Most importantly, each student received the individual attention and assistance they required. Our abilities varied and Maggie provided the appropriate amount of encouragement and support.

Maggie Ball is a quilting instructor well worth having at your quilt guild. She is well prepared, clearly knows her material and is at ease with explaining that information both to large groups as well as to the individual quilters. Maggie’s outreach and work with the women of Mongolia to create a livelihood through quilting is inspiring and engaging. Our guild thoroughly enjoyed her presentations as well as her workshops.
Comments from Quilter’s Sew-ciety members who attended Maggie’s Bargello workshop:

The Piecemakers Quilt Club in Forks, WA was so fortunate to be able to have Maggie Ball come to teach from the Traditional Quilts with a Twist book. She is a wonderful teacher, and anyone who likes the Bear’s Paw block will really enjoy doing the Bear’s Paw with a twist.  Maggie is excellent about helping all level of students with their precision piecing. We learned so much from her and recommend her highly.

When Maggie came to Georgia as the guest speaker for the Georgia Quilt Council’s Spring Convention, not only was her lecture full of stories about her work with the Mongolian women, but her trunk show received rave reviews!  Those who took her workshops really enjoyed the ease of her patterns and her kind, gentle manner.  Many said afterwards that she was one of their favorite teachers because of all the wonderful tips she gave them in the workshop.

We were very fortunate to have Maggie visit us in South Africa last year. Her classes were enjoyed by many of our West Rand Quadrille Quilters.  The classes were fun and were run very professionally. Each student had an equal amount of the teacher’s attention resulting in some wonderful quilt projects. She definitely opened up a whole new world into the Kaleidoscope quilts for us.
